Email Rules
We value feedback and enjoy hearing from our
readers but, before you use your valuable time writing us an email, please note
the following:
1. Like everyone else, we only have so many
hours in the day to answer email. While we would prefer to respond personally
and quickly to every email we receive, the increasing volume of correspondence
does not make this possible. We will not enter into lengthy dialogue (see 3.
below).
All correspondence is deemed to be for publication in
VHeadline.com other than where it is clearly expressly otherwise.
VHeadline.com will not be held responsible for any failure by you to clarify any
such conditions. If you wish to be taken seriously, you must include
identifying details such as your full name, address and contact details although
you may exceptionally request these to be withheld from eventual publication.
Your observance of these basic conditions permits us to spend more time doing
something constructive, like corresponding with people who understand and
appreciate what we do.
PLEASE NOTE: that we
will NOT respond to threatening, obscene or completely negative emails.
2. Emails that contain threats will be reported
to the appropriate law enforcement agencies as well as your Internet provider.
Please be aware that we have ZERO TOLERANCE
of persistent abusers and SPAM emails and that your email address may be added
to a sophisticated filtering system in the event that you fail
to observe the basic rules of
Netiquette.
3. We will not respond to requests for
citations, links to news articles, quotes or other information that is widely
available on the Internet, television or your local library. We have an
excellent onsite search engine at
http://www.vheadline.com/search.asp so please feel free to make the fullest
use of it for your own research...
4. If you send email with attachments and we do
not know previously who you are, we will delete your email unread and the
attachment unopened. Sorry, but we have no time for computer viruses or
hackers.
5. Like members of the US Congress, we don't
respond to "form emails" that are clearly generated from the same source. If you
can't think of an original way to express yourself, please don't expect a
response.
